Luxury for Less: After Holiday Deals 

I love a good sale and you can catch some great deals after Christmas. One of the best strategies I’ve learned over the years is to put a small budget aside BEFORE Christmas to use for the post holiday sales. You can get some incredible bargains on luxury items that you will use for years to come. 

1. Christmas Decor: I buy all of my expensive ornaments and luxury holiday decor for 60% off or more AFTER Christmas. I love to go to Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Macy’s to find a few ultra beautiful pieces to mix in with less expensive ones. You can maximize your budget by adding in a little dollar store decor. 
2. Christmas Organization: All of the super functional Christmas storage bins are going to be on sale shortly! I prefer clear, so I can see through them, but they also have super cute red and green options. You can get these items for 40-70% off after the holidays and be organized for next year! Michaels, Amazon and Target are some of my favorite spots to find great deals. 
3. Christmas Lights: All Christmas stores hold a big sale directly after the holidays! Check your local home improvement stores for deals up to 75%. Since Christmas lights are seasonal items, they want to get rid of them. But down wait too long! By March they will be out of the store, but you can still find deals online.
4. Christmas Trees: In the market for an artificial tree? Best time to buy one is after Christmas. My family used to always get a real tree, until CJ decided he wanted a white tree. For the last two years we’ve had an artificial tree. I miss the smell of pine, but I don’t miss cleaning up all of those needles! If you are in the market for an artificial tree, you can find one for 50% off or more after Christmas at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Target or Amazon.
5. Designer Clothes: Who doesn’t like a great deal on a high ticket item? Shopping after the holiday season will get you a lot more bang for your buck. High end department stores like Barneys, Neiman Marcus, and Saks have amazing end of season sales. If you’re in the market for a designer item to add to your wardrobe, now is the time to buy!
