Ah, spring – hello flowers and sunshine!
One of my favorite ways to capitalize on the fresh feeling of spring is a much needed deep cleaning. Below are five spring cleaning tips to get you started:
- Clean Room by Room: Approaching your house room by room is the most effective way to deep clean. I always create a cleaning checklist for each room to help with organization.
- Organize and Clear the Clutter: Sort your belongings into four categories – trash, give away, store or put away. This process helps with clearing out clutter completely.
- Get the Household Involved: Make spring cleaning a household endeavor. Throw some music on and establish a household reward as an incentive to get the job done.
- Tackle the Seasonal Chores: Many chores need to be done seasonally, especially as we prepare for warmer weather. I usually start the day with outside chores such as cleaning the garage and swimming pool.
- Keep Cleaning Products to a Minimum: Too many cleaning supplies can create unnecessary clutter – opt for a good all-purpose cleaner and microfiber cloths.
Happy spring cleaning!
